Smackdown began, with Mike ‘The Miz’ Mizanin.
He then introduced the main event Finlay vs Rey Mysterio. Ashley, Michelle McCool, Jillian Hall & Kristal in a Summer Kick Off Bikini Contest.

Wlliam Regal came out to the ring and then showed a video package of King Booker vs Bobby Lashley, and want happens if you don’t ‘Hail’ King Booker. He then introduced King Booker. However Bobby Lashley appeared from no-where and attakced William Regal and destroyed him until Refs and Backstage crew came out to break them up. Then Teddy Long came out and asked Lashley if he was looking for a fight, and then he said because tonight it will be you vs William Regal, and if Lashley wins then he gets a match with King Booker.

Super Crazy vs Brian Kendrick
Great match, ended when Super Crazy hit an awesome move from the top rope with Kendrick as well and got the pin. Then the Great Khali came down and destroyed Kendrick, London, & Crazy, but Psychosis ran away leaving Crazy to be destroyed in the ring.

Nunzio was backstage talking to a some of the CrusierWeights, when Vito walked in wearing a dress. Nunzio said there was enough rumours flying around, and now you are walking around dressed like that, and that he had protected Vito’s secret... protected Vito for long enough. Vito said No it was he who had protected Nunzio, and that he was the toughest man in the locker room, and the toughest man to wear a dress. And that he and Nunzio have a one on one match and he would show everyone, what kind of man he was.

Sharmell introduced King Booker. Who came out to watch the match between William Regal and Bobby Lashley.

[Booker distracted Lashley when he came out to the ring, allowing Regal to jump Lashley and attack him on the way to the ring] Ok match, ended when Regal was hit with a Spear outside the ring and was counted. So Next week it’s King Booker vs Bobby Lashley.

Ashley vs Jillian vs Kristal vs Michelle McCool
Good. Winner was: Ashley. [Michelle McCool then went on about how the media treats Female School Teachers, and then she said that everyone of those teachers has needs, and having seen the other Diva’s C+ bodies, her A+ Body will never be fulfilled by the crowd. So she left the ring]

Mark Henry vs Ramon Roe
Squash match for Henry, he won the match with the ‘World’s Strongest Slam’ Then Henry got the microphone and said that Batista was coming back, but he would be gone again, where was Benoit gone! It will be the biggest mistake Batista makes.

Mr Kennedy vs Scott Too Hotty
Good match, ended when Mr Kennedy hit a diving rolling splash off the top rope for the pin. [Before the match Kennedy grabbed the mic from Tony Chimmel, and then introduced himself]

Camera’s caught up with Rey backstage and he was met by Chavo who was asking about if he was going to join ECW....Rey wasn’t sure. Chavo said he had Rey’s back, Rey thanked him for having his back, and taking the chair shot from JBL. Rey then asked Chavo if he was going to come back, but Chavo said no he had retired and that was it. But Rey said it was in his blood, and to never say never.

Michael Cole was in the ring and he wanted to interview Rey about going to ECW, but then Tazz got into the ring and said he had made his decision, and then he began talking about Jerry Lawler, and that he will Choke Out Jerry Lawler. Tazz then said he was going where he belonged, he was going home, Tazz is going to ECW for good. He said Goodbye to Michael Cole and then slammed the mic into his chest. He left the ring and then Paul Heyman came out and hugged Tazz. Then he walked to the ring and told Michael Cole to leave the ring.
He then said that lots of guys are joining ECW, RVD has come home. Kurt Angle has joined ECW. Tazz the best commentator in the business has returned home. And yes he has extended a personal invitation to Rey to return to ECW and that at One NIght Stand he faces Sabu, but it doesn’t have to be a One Night Stand.... At that point Rey came out. Rey then thanked Paul for what he had done for his career and what ECW had done for Rey Mysterio, he then said that when he joined WWe 4 years ago there has only been one home for Rey and that is Smackdown, and it was in this very ring that he won the World Championship and it was here that he was going to stay. Paul thanked Rey for thinking about the offer, and that he admired him as a champion and respected him as a man, he wished him luck against Sabu at One Night Stand and wished him luck in his match tonight, because he felt he’ll need it.

Rey Mysterio vs Finlay
Good match, ended when Finlay hit the ‘Celtic Cross’ for the win, Finaly hit Rey with the Shalayle after outside interference from Sabu, distracted the Ref. [The ‘little guy’ dragged Rey under the ring, when Rey was fighting Finlay outside the ring] Sabu then attacked Rey after the match. Sabu set up a table and placed Rey on it. He then placed a chair in the ring, and ran across the ring, back to the chair, jumped to the top rope and dropped a leg on Rey driving him through the table.
